Handling Toner Safely and Cleanly
Toner is a fine polymer powder. It behaves less like ink and more like dust, which changes how you clean it up.

Never use warm water
Warm water fuses toner into fabric permanently. Cold water and a dry brush first, then detergent.
Vacuuming
A standard shop vacuum blows toner straight through the filter and into the air. Use a HEPA or toner-rated vacuum only.
Storage and disposal
Keep spare cartridges level, sealed and away from heat. Most manufacturers provide prepaid recycling labels; we also collect used cartridges during scheduled service visits.
When to bring in a technician
Anything that repeats after a proper reset, produces a burning smell, or involves the fuser or high-voltage section belongs with a trained technician. Austintero Co. serves Centennial and the surrounding Denver metro and can usually be on site the same business day.
